AA Sammamitta
AA Sammamitta is a faithful faksimile reproduction of the Khmer typewriter. It was supposedly designed by Keng Vannsak (កេង~វ៉ាន់សាក់), based on his handwriting. The typewriter was produced by the German Triumph-Adler-Büromaschinen-GmbH.

Monospaced character width
As in the original typewriter, characters have equal width and accents have zero-width.
Precomposed composite characters
The original typewriter had a limited character set and certain letters had to be composed by other characters. AA Sammamitta has these precomposed according to the Unicode standard.

Variable weight axis
The weight axis simulates two characteristics encountered when typing on a typewriter: the ink density of the ribbon and the pressure applied when striking the keys.
